Quick and effective – Plastic Plus Ltd

Retrieving payment for an invoice should be a simple and hassle–free process. Unfortunately, this is not the case for many businesses.

Often having to chase up the payment, they spend a lot of time and resources on the process.

This is just what Plastic Plus Ltd, an independent supplier of UPVC products based in Ashington, experienced. Shop manager Phill Ellis explained: “We’d tried chasing them up every way we knew how, it just wasn’t working.”

Plastic Plus Ltd sought the help of Hilton-Baird Collection Services having waited 10 months for their customer to pay. The last verbal contact with the debtor had come two months prior, when they had been assured that payment would follow, yet these seemed to be empty promises as nothing came through despite numerous letters being sent.

Hilton-Baird’s collections team was given a summary of the debt and acted quickly and professionally to retrieve the payment. After carrying out the relevant checks on the company an initial letter was sent on the same day. Just one working day later, the balance was paid in full by direct debit.

Mr. Ellis continued: “We were thrilled with the outcome and at how quickly everything was resolved once Hilton-Baird came into the equation. It highlighted that sometimes a third party involvement is all that’s needed to encourage a customer to pay without dragging it on any longer.”
